About Historical Weather Data Search

The historical weather data report answers the following question: What was the weather in (a selected city) from (start date) to (end date)?

The resulting report shows a summary of the data at the top, along with a table of weather data for each day below. The summary data is an aggregate of the data in the details section below. The details section shows the:

  • High Temperature
  • Low Temperature
  • Precipitation (inches)
  • Snowfall (inches)
for each day within the selected time frame.

In addtion, this report can contain filters that filter the resulting data based on snowfall, precipitation, high temperature, or low temperature. See the example below that illustrates this.

The examples below illustrate the types of reports the historical data search can produce.

Example 1: Generate a report showing weather data for Baltimore, MD from Feburary 1, 1975 to February 10, 1975

After completing the parameters for this report, the parameters appear as follows:

PARAMETERS for Historical Weather Search for Baltimore, MD from February 1, 1975 to February 10, 1975

Upon generation, the report appears as follows:

DETAILS for Historical Weather Search for Baltimore, MD from February 1, 1975 to February 10, 1975

Example 2: Generate a report showing weather data for Raleigh, NC from January 1, 1951 to January 10, 1951 with high temps ranging from 40-50 degrees.

After completing the parameters for this report, the parameters appear as follows:

PARAMETERS for Historical Weather Search for Raleigh, NC from January 1, 1951 to January 10, 1951 with high temps between 40 and 50 degrees.

Upon generation, the report appears as follows:

DETAILS for Historical Weather Search for Raleigh, NC from January 1, 1951 to January 10, 1951 with high temps between 40 and 50 degrees.
